Resumo: The research aimed at understanding the intersection between gender and age group through the analysis of elderly women's narratives. The participants were members of UATI - Universidade Aberta da Terceira Idade (University for the Elderly) from Universidade Estadual do Centro Oeste. The data were systematized through notes in a field diary and content analysis was performed. In the life story, the categories: love, family, suffering and care (among all that were raised: Love, Family, Suffering, Work and Death) stood out as important elements in the intersection of gender and generational criteria in our society.

Las participantes fueron integrantes de la UATI - Universidade Aberta da Terceira Idade (Universidad Abierta de la Tercera Edad) de la Universidade Estadual do Centro Oeste. Los datos fueron sistematizados por medio de anotaciones en diario de campo y fue realizado análisis de contenido. Se destacaron en los relatos de vida las categorías: amor, familia, sufrimiento y cuidado (de entre todas las levantadas: Amor, Familia, Sufrimiento, Trabajo y Muerte) como elementos importantes en la intersección de género y criterio generacional en nuestra sociedad.A pesquisa teve como objetivo compreender a intersecção entre gênero e faixa etária por meio da análise de narrativas de mulheres idosas. As participantes foram integrantes da Universidade Aberta da Terceira Idade (UATI), da Universidade Estadual do Centro Oeste. Os dados foram sistematizados por meio de anotações em diário de campo e foi realizada análise de conteúdo.
