Resumo: Supported by Henri Lefèbvre's regressive-progressive method, the main objective of the research here is to present the theoretical contributions of the debate on the right to the city to the perspective of aging. Taking into account that aging is a social phenomenon, it becomes necessary to investigate the particular demands of the urban elderly population In this sense, it will be discussed how such demands can be met in the construction of a fair city also for the elderly. The research points to the importance of interdisciplinary analysis for the study of the theme, considering the need to promote the debate on aging and urban space.

The research points to the importance of interdisciplinary analysis for the study of the theme, considering the need to promote the debate on aging and urban space. Apoyado en el método regresivo-progresivo, de Henri Lefèbvre, el objetivo principal del presente artículo es presentar las contribuciones teóricas sobre el derecho a la ciudad desde la perspectiva del envejecimiento. Tomando en cuenta que el envejecimiento es un fenómeno social, se hace necesaria una investigación de las demandas particulares de la población urbana adulta mayor. Es este sentido, serán discutidas las posibilidades de construcción de una ciudad justa también para los adultos mayores. La investigación destaca la importancia del análisis interdisciplinar para el estudio del tema, considerando la necesidad de fomentar el debate sobre envejecimiento y espacio urbano.  Tendo como suporte o método regressivo-progressivo, de Henri Lefèbvre, o objetivo principal do presente artigo é apresentar as contribuições teóricas sobre o Direito à Cidade sob a perspectiva do envelhecimento. Levando em consideração que o envelhecimento é um fenômeno social, torna-se necessária uma investigação das demandas particulares da população idosa urbana. Nesse sentido, serão discutidas as possibilidades de construção de uma cidade justa também para os idosos.
