Resumo: This article discusses modern individuality from different perspectives, such as those of Cacciari, Adorno, and Horkheimer, to understand the constitution of the psychology of mass society, based on productivity and utility, as interrelated with and even immanent in the metropolis itself. Therefore, we seek a counterpoint through the dialectics, urban form and utopia proposed by Lefebvre to shed light on the following question: if negative dialectics supports us when questioning the identity between subject and object, theory and practice, confrontation with the Lefebvrian dialectic perspective problematizes the limits of thought itself and seems to point to concrete utopia as a horizon capable of feeding the differential space and the becoming.

Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo2021-05-20info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.pucsp.br/index.php/metropole/article/view/2236-9996.2021-511310.1590/2236-9996.2021-5113Cadernos Metrópole; Vol. 23 No. 51 (2021): geografia do ressentimento; 737-761Cadernos Metrópole; Vol. 23 Núm. 51 (2021): geografia do ressentimento; 737-761Cadernos Metrópole; Vol. 23 No. 51 (2021): geografia do ressentimento; 737-761Cadernos Metrópole; v. 23 n. 51 (2021): geografia do ressentimento; 737-7612236-99961517-2422reponame:Cadernos Metrópole (Online)instname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPporhttps://revistas.pucsp.br/index.php/metropole/article/view/2236-9996.2021-5113/35354Copyright (c) 2021 Cadernos Metrópole.info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMartins Morita, Carolina Akemi2021-05-20T05:51:03Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/45313Revistahttps://revistas.pucsp.br/metropolePRIhttps://old.scielo.br/oai/scielo-oai.phpcadernosmetropole@outlook.com||cadernosmetropole@outlook.com2236-99961517-2422opendoar:2021-05-20T05:51:03Cadernos Metrópole (Online) - Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)false
