Resumo: This paper aims to clarify how photo reportage deals with the truth. First, it observes its relation with authenticity and sincerity. Then, it proposes a definition based on the concept of event and describes a scene in which the photojournalist’s distance to that event is related either to morality or to ethics. Finally, it suggests that the enunciative contract that links the photojournalist with the observer deals with the moral (moral contract) rather than the truth (real contract).

Primeiro ele observa sua relação com a autencidade e a sinceridade. Depois, ele propõe uma definição elaborada a partir do conceito de acontecimento e descreve uma cena em que a distância do repórter desse acontecimento refere-se quer à moral, quer à ética.
