Resumo: Between August 26th and 29th, Center Simão Mathias for Studies in the History of Science, PUC-SP, will conduct a Seminar in celebration of the centennial of Simão Mathias, its mentor. The subject of the Seminar is: Documents, Methods and Identity in History of Science, a focus of particular interest to Simão Mathias and at the foundations of the creation of the center that bears his name. The present article - where some points on this subject are raised - is opened for debate. Commentaries and suggestions are welcomed, through this section (Debate) of Circumscribere. In this way, the journal initiates a new modality: the original article together with commentaries and alterations will give rise to a new text which will synthesize the topics to be discussed in August meeting.

El tema de este Seminário es Documentos, Métodos e Identidad de la Historia de la Ciencia, que interesaba especialmente a Simão Mathias y subyace la fundación del centro de pesquisa que lleva su nombre. Este artículo plantea puntos para discusión, que así quedan abiertos para debate. Circunscribere recibirá comentarios y sugerencias, inaugurando de esta manera una nueva modalidad en la sección Debates: la publicación del artículo original, junto a comentarios y modificaciones que originarán un nuevo texto sintetizando los tópicos a ser discutidos en el encuentro de agosto.Entre 25 y 29 de agosto, o Centro Simão Mathias de Estudos em História da Ciência, PUC-SP, realizará um seminário para comemorar o centenário de seu patrono, Simão Mathias. O tema desse Seminário é Documentos, Métodos e Identidade da História da Ciência, assunto de especial interesse para Simão Mathias e mote da fundação do centro de pesquisa que leva seu nome. Este artigo levanta pontos de discussão, que ficam abertos para debate.
