A percepção de adultos sobre os jovens : o que dizem professores de escolas de educação básica de Porto Alegre e região metropolitana

Resumo: The present study had as main focus the speech of adults, teachers, in relation to young people and their expressions. The study revealed its importance and relevance due to the intention of understanding the relationships that adults and young people establish and express in educational environments, permeated by an increasingly plural, unstable and, paradoxically, excluding social reality. To guide the understandings, the bases of thought proposed by José Pais, Feixa, Maffesoli, Melucci, Reguillo, Sposito, Martucelli, Canclini and Southwell were pointed out as a theoretical reference. The point of analysis was the statements of educators about the young people in the schools where they work (Basic Education institutions in Porto Alegre and the Metropolitan Region). The intention of perceiving how these young people are perceived by their educators was broadening the scope of the study and brought up broader concepts, mainly about the way the school proposes its structure and curriculum, with consequent influences on the relationships between students. individuals and the community. The proposed methodological design was that of qualitative research, with a content analysis procedure present in the statements of the interviews conducted with teachers about the youth manifestations perceived in the educational environments where they work. The mapping of adult perceptions, in addition to evidence of the formats of their relationship with young people, also made it possible to have a broad look at the school environment and the teaching action itself, enabling such points to generate continuity of investigation in future studies, especially from the concept of school form brought by some of the mentioned authors (Vincent; Lahire; Thin). Looking at the school as an institution that maintains proposals that are in constant tension with the different cultures that compose it, among them the youths, the background of this study, was one of the points of greatest reflection and considerations that were drawn at the end of the work.

O estudo revelou sua importância e relevância pela intenção de compreensão sobre as relações que adultos e jovens estabelecem e expressam em ambientes educativos, permeados por uma realidade social cada vez mais plural, instável e, paradoxalmente, excludente. Para pautar os entendimentos, apontou-se como referencial teórico as bases de pensamento propostas por José Pais, Feixa, Maffesoli, Melucci, Reguillo, Sposito, Martucelli, Canclini e Southwell. O ponto de análise foram os enunciados de educadores sobre os jovens das escolas onde atuam (instituições de Educação Básica de Porto Alegre e Região Metropolitana). A intenção de percepção de que forma como esses jovens são percebidos por seus educadores foi ampliando o escopo do estudo e trouxe à tona conceitos mais amplos, principalmente sobre a forma que a escola propõe sua estrutura e currículo, com consequente influências sobre as relações entre os indivíduos e a coletividade. O desenho metodológico proposto foi o da pesquisa qualitativa, com procedimento de análise de conteúdo presente nos enunciados das entrevistas realizadas com os professores sobre as manifestações juvenis percebidas nos ambientes educativos onde atuam. O mapeamento das percepções adultas, além da evidência dos formatos de sua relação com os jovens possibilitou, também, um olhar amplo sobre o ambiente escolar e a ação docente em si, possibilitando que tais pontos gerem continuidade de investigação em estudos futuros, especialmente a partir do conceito da forma escolar trazido por alguns dos autores citados (Vincent; Lahire; Thin).
