This paper analyzes the influence of the incubation process in the generation of business network for companies residing in an incubator. The incubator RAIAR, from PUC-RS, was used for this study. During the incubation process, the entrepreneur takes part of an environment made of actors that contribute to the development of his business networking. This networking is a key element of support in his evolution, making his actions more assertive and generating access to resources, partners and clients. The research was done in a qualitative approach, based on case study, through in-depth interviews with seven incubated companies, one incubator manager and one specialist related to company incubation. The results emphasize the importance of new business networkings creation for the entrepreneur environment, the University and Incubator names influence as generators of legitimacy for the market and the role of incubator actions. It also was noticed the relevance of relationships made due to the academic environment proximity, the importance of the social capital generation between the incubated companies and the confidence and informality influence in the relationships for new business networkings generation
