In today's society, actions and behaviors taken by organizations are always being observed. In this sense, it is common to find information related to organizational behaviors that favor the debate about the intention on the part of the organization, considering the perspective related to the ethical-social view. These are scandals involving recklessness, malpractice, neglect, omission, corruption, among other questionable movements. These behaviors that aim to benefit themselves, whether from the organization or the board of this organization, instead of promoting the well-being of society are known in the literature as Corporate Social Irresponsibility. Although it is an extremely important construct, whose debate is latent and necessary, it is still little explored when compared to studies of Corporate Social Responsibility. However, more than looking at the organization itself, there is the other side of this continuum, the society. It is in society that we find the true impacts of an organization's social irresponsibility actions. Finally, it is also in this society and in the direct and indirect impacted ones that the emotional effects and, consequently, the response behaviors come to life. The Hostility Triad model sheds light on these emotions and response behaviors triggered by observers of an action of corporate social irresponsibility, however, it analyzes the effect of the phenomenon in isolation, without considering aspects of the context, such as corporate action and social irresponsibility prior, already practiced by the organization. In view of this scenario, the need to contribute to the existing literature on the construct of corporate social irresponsibility was realized, through the production of scientific content that analyzed not only the organization, but also the emotional impacts and behaviors of the observer's responses. Thus, this research aims to understand how the elements of the Hostility Triad are originated and influence the response behaviors of the observer in a scenario in which there has already been a previous corporate social irresponsibility action. To understand this phenomenon, this work used as a field of study the case of the rupture of Vale's ore tailings dam, in the city of Brumadinho, which occurred in January 2019, since a similar behavior had already occurred by the organization in the city of Mariana, 3 years earlier. For a better understanding of the problem, an exploratory qualitative approach was used, with the analysis of a series of secondary data, obtained through documentary analysis, and with interviews to validate the findings with specialists. As part of the results found, it was possible to identify which elements influence the observer's assessment and which emotions, in addition to those contained in the Hostility Triad, are aroused in the action observer. As a contribution, this work developed a schematic model that relates the factors prior to the act of corporate social irresponsibility, a series of elements that influence the observer's assessment and judgment, the emotions aroused in this observer and their response behaviors.
