This Master’s thesis proposes an epistemological discussion concerning the causal phenomenon instantiated by verbal language properties of meaning as a theoretical object methodologically designed by the interface between logic/natural language. The methodology of scientific work employed presents a theoretical-analytical and theoretical-argumentative consistency, based on the Formal Semantics framework assumed in the Generative perspective of the Faculty of Language. Displayed in three developmental chapters, the first one, which corresponds to the historical-theoretical scope, seeks the real object presupposition and the characterization of causality as a tangible phenomenological entity, presenting in a non-problematic way the employable fundaments regarding the specific viewpoint of analysis. For the second chapter, committed to methodological-ontological degree of discussion, the debate arises between formal logic and natural language properties that, once assumed in interface, support the causal phenomenology on the field of Semantics, whose ontological design as a causal entity is fine-grained within a metaphysical and cognitive framework, culminating within a TAME analysis (tense, aspect, mood and evidentiality). The third and last chapter, regarded to an epistemologicalphilosophical nature, discusses the threshold properties between some set of philosophical subfields through which the causality phenomenon unfolds, proposing the concept of semantic holography in order to cover the scope of investigation on the domain between sentence meaning versus speaker meaning by means of the modal and epistemic flavors.
