Resumo: This is a qualitative study, supported by documentary research, about the perceptions and meanings of the main researchers in the field of knowledge organization, who present a reflection of the relationship between this field and archival science, in the last five years. It portrays reflections on the organization of knowledge and archival science, and questions about provenance and classification. It is perceived that this relationship is still finding its paths and solutions, reflecting interdisciplinary elements. Keywords: archives; knowledge organization; indexation; classification.

Presenta reflexiones sobre la organización del conocimiento y la archivística, y los temas de la procedencia y la clasificación. Se percibe que essa relación sigue encontrando caminos y soluciones, reflejando elementos interdisciplinares. Palabras clave: archivos; organización de conocimiento; indexación; clasificación.Este é um estudo de natureza qualitativa, apoiado na pesquisa documental, acerca das percepções e dos significados dos principais pesquisadores no âmbito da organização do conhecimento, que apresentam reflexão da relação entre esta e a arquivística, nos últimos cinco anos. Retratam-se reflexões acerca da organização do conhecimento e da arquivística, e das questões sobre a proveniência e a classificação. Percebe-se que essa relação está ainda à procura de encontrar os seus percursos e soluções, refletindo elementos interdisciplinares.
