Resumo: This article presents the trajectory of professor Magda Suely Pereira da Costa in the creation process of the Centro de Documentação e Memória de Arraias e Região (Cdmar). We describe how this personage played an important role in records preservation in the state of Tocantins. For that, we report her trajectory, how Cdmar is thought and the actions developed in it. Keywords: documentation center; regional memory; preservation; professional performance.

Descrevemos como essa personagem teve papel relevante na preservação documental no estado do Tocantins.
