The centenary of Paraná state and the induction of the process of metropolization in Curitiba

Resumo: In 1965 the city of Curitiba is projected as a leader of urban planning initiatives in Brazil. On the other hand, the induction of metropolization can be verified from the projects implemented in the capital in the centenary of Paraná, in 1953. This article analyzes the implementation of these works and their contribution to the metropolization process in Curitiba, which occurred in the 1960s and 1970s. Keywords: Curitiba; modernization; metropolization; modern architecture.
