Resumo: | David Giaretta works with digital preservation since 1990 and oriented various important developments in this field. He presided the panel that produced the referential model OAIS (ISO 14721), the de facto standard to the construction of digital archives, as well as made fundamental contributions to the model. He oriented the update of the OAIS in 2012 and is conducting its present update. Giaretta leaders the group that produced the ISO 16363 standards, for audit and certification of trusted digital repositories, and the ISO 16919, both of them are fundamental to the definition of the certification process. The details are available at the PTAB ‒ Primary Trustworthy Digital Repository Authorisation Body Ltd site (www.iso16363.org). Besides that, he conducted various big projects on digital preservation, encompassing an investment from the European Union and more than fifty partner organizations of several tens of millions of euros. Among these projects there are: Caspar, PARSE. Insight, Aparsen and Scidip-es, built upon his work experience and leadership over big digital data repositories and software systems. Involved with the Alliance for Permanent Access to Records of Science (APA) since its conception till its establishment, David Giaretta became APA’s director in July 2010. In this interview, we invite him to speak about his perception on digital preservation in Archives, the OAIS model, the significant properties (SPs) and the perspectives to the knowledge organization in archives. |

Orientó la actualización de 2012 del OAIS y está conduciendo su presente actualización. Giaretta lidera el grupo que produjo el estándar ISO 16363, para auditoría y certificación de repositorios digitales confiables, y la ISO 16919, las cuales son fundamentales para la definición del proceso de certificación.
