Resumo: This article analyses children's art exhibitions organized by thePolish educator and artist Emma Kleè Koch (1904-1975), wholived in Curitiba, Brazil. These exhibitions were held as part of theactions by the Arts Education Department of the Education andCulture Secretariat of Paraná State (1949-1952), under theadministration of Erasmo Pilotto, an intellectual and educator whoidentified with the ideals of the New School trends. Using officialdocuments, exhibition signature lists, government projects,government platform, newspaper articles and other writings of theeducator as sources, we seek to detect the relationships thatpervade the idea of modernity and are at the confluence betweenthe fields of politics, education and art.

Utilizando comofuentes documentos oficiales, listas de firmas de exposiciones,proyectos gubernamentales, plataforma de gobierno, artículos deperiódicos y otros escritos de la educadora, se busca percibir lasrelaciones que permean la idea de modernidad y que se hacen enla confluencia de los campos de la política, de la educación y delarte.Este artigo analisa as exposições de arte infantil organizadas pela artista e educadora polonesa radicada em Curitiba Emma Kleè Koch (1904-1975). Tais mostras foram realizadas como parte das ações do Departamento de Ensino Artístico da Secretaria de Educação e Cultura do Paraná (1949-1952), sob a administração de Erasmo Pilotto, intelectual e educador identificado com o ideário da Escola Nova.
