Resumo: In 1930, the School Colonies had the purpose of improving the conditions of the most disadvantaged children. Another purpose was to send gender behaviours and values. The research that reveals this reality is not very abundant. Its function is to project a new perspective of education from 1930. Thus, this work examines the memories of the country holidays published between 1930 and 1932by the city hall of Barcelona. The source is the iconography. From this procedure we have verified that the image illustrates differences between in relation to the physical representation in the space, the activities carried out throughout the experience and the dress of the minors. These aspects lead us to affirm that the school colonies improved the colonists' health and they strengthened certain sexist learning and behaviours. These reinforced the ideal of women as the supreme protagonist of the home and of men as a representative of public space.

Las investigaciones que tratan de desvelar esta realidad no son muy abundantes, siendo su función proyectar una nueva perspectiva de la educación a partir de 1930. Así pues este trabajo analiza las memorias de las colonias escolares, del Ajuntament de Barcelona, publicadas entre 1930 y 1932. Tomando como fuente referencial la iconografía, hemos constatado cómo las instantáneas ilustran diferencias entre niños y niñas, en relación con la representación corporal en el espacio, las actividades realizadas a lo largo de la experiencia y la vestimenta de los menores. Estos aspectos nos llevan a afirmar que a la vez que las colonias escolares mejoraban la salud de los colonos y las colonas afianzaban ciertos aprendizajes y comportamientos sexistas que reforzaban el ideal de la mujer como protagonista suprema del hogar y del hombre como representante del espacio público.  Em 1930, as colônias escolares pretendiam melhorar as condições das crianças desfavorecidas e transmitir comportamentos e valores de gênero. As investigações que tentam revelar tal realidade não são muito abundantes, sendo sua função projetar uma nova perspectiva da educação a partir de 1930. Neste sentido este trabalho analisa as memórias das colônias escolares​​publicadas entre 1930 e 1932no Ajuntamento de Barcelona. Tomando a iconografia como fonte de referência, verificamos como os instantâneos ilustram as diferenças entre crianças, em relação à representação física no espaço, às atividades realizadas ao longo da experiência e ao vestuário das crianças.
