Resumo: Within the study of painted furniture in Portugal of the 18th century, this article focuses its presence in the island of Madeira. Some specifi cs, such as the artistic production, ordering, technical study and current conservation condition are addressed. In this sense, is presented the study of two polychromatic oratories, with portuguese workshop production.

En este sentido, se presenta el estudio de dos oratorios, de un taller de producción policromada en Portugal.No âmbito do estudo do móvel pintado em Portugal na centúria de setecentos, o presente artigo pretende abordar a sua presença na Ilha da Madeira. Caracterizam-se, assim,determinadas especificidades de produção artística, encomenda, estudo técnico e estado de conservação actual.
