Resumo: | Shallow landslides are frequent natural processes in the Serra do Mar region, in southeast Brazil. The occupation of these areas leads to the creation of risk areas. The main objective was to compare the performance of the shallow landslide susceptibility analysis using morphometric parameters, SHALSTAB and Informative Value model. The study area was the Gurutuba river basin, in the municipality of Itaoca (São Paulo), selected due to massive quantities of shallow landslides triggered after an extreme rainfall event in 2014. The comparison between the models was made using the success rate and a contingency matrix. The model that presented better performance was the Informative Value. The SHALSTAB model has indicated as unstable sections of terrains without scars. These results are relevant for the purposes of regional planning of the municipality and also because there is a lack of studies of this type for the area. |
