Voices of Didactics: Transgenerational paths of researchers in the University of Aveiro

Resumo: | We live in a constantly changing world. Those transformations, which echo in Education, span several generations of researchers, and have led to an epistemological and praxeological reconfiguration of Didactics towards a hermeneutic character. Considering this panorama, we sought to answer the following questions: (1) What is the perception of different generations of researchers from the University of Aveiro concerning Didactics? and (2) How has the perception of the concept of Didactics been built by those researchers throughout their personal and professional life paths? To this end, the following aims were outlined: (i) to understand the personal and professional paths of the participants; (ii) to characterize their perception of the concept of Didactics; and (iii) to analyze their epistemological perspectives regarding the topic. Data research was carried out through standardized open-ended interviews with nine researchers of the University of Aveiro specialized in the field of Didactics and from different generations. With the support of the webQDA software, we proceeded to a categorical data analysis. The results demonstrate that the researchers have a similar conception of Didactics and highlight the existence of a school of thought that defines the institutional identity of the University of Aveiro in this field, but denote, as well, idiosyncrasies, which emerge from the individual paths and from the different generational contexts of the researchers. |

Asumiendo eco en la Educación, estas transformaciones, que abarcan varias generaciones de investigadores, han propiciado la reconfiguración epistemológica y praxeológica de la Didáctica, adquiriendo, así, un carácter hermenéutico. En este sentido, se busca dar respuesta a las preguntas de investigación: (1) ¿Cuál es la percepción de investigadores de diferentes generaciones de la Universidad de Aveiro sobre la concepción de Didáctica? y (2) ¿Cómo se ha construido la percepción de esos investigadores sobre la concepción de Didáctica, considerando sus trayectorias de vida en los ámbitos personal y profesional? Para ello, se esbozaron los siguientes objetivos: (i) comprender la dimensión contextualizada de las trayectorias personales y profesionales de los investigadores entrevistados; (ii) caracterizar su percepción sobre la concepción de Didáctica; y (iii) analizar las diferentes perspectivas epistemológicas en este contexto. Para operacionalizar el estudio, se recolectaron los datos a través de entrevistas standardized open-ended a nueve investigadores en el campo de la Didáctica de diferentes generaciones de la Universidad de Aveiro y se procedió a su posterior análisis de contenido categorial, mediante el uso del software webQDA. Se concluye que los investigadores participantes presentan una concepción similar de Didáctica, evidenciando la existencia de una corriente de pensamiento que define la identidad institucional de la Universidad de Aveiro en este campo, pero que, paralelamente, denota idiosincrasias emergentes de los caminos individuales de los sujetos y de la generación a la que pertenecen.Vivemos num mundo em constante transformação. Assumindo eco na Educação, essas transformações, que perpassam várias gerações de investigadores, têm proporcionado a reconfiguração epistemológica e praxeológica da Didática, adquirindo, assim, a sua conceção, um caráter hermenêutico. É neste sentido que se procura responder às questões de investigação: (1) Qual a perceção de investigadores de diferentes gerações da Universidade de Aveiro sobre a conceção de Didática? e (2) Como se foi construindo a perceção desses investigadores sobre a conceção de Didática, atendendo aos seus percursos de vida nos âmbitos pessoal e profissional? Para tal, delinearam-se como objetivos: (i) compreender a dimensão contextualizada dos percursos pessoal e profissional dos investigadores entrevistados; (ii) caracterizar a sua perceção sobre a conceção de Didática; e (iii) analisar as diferentes perspetivas epistemológicas nesse âmbito. De modo a operacionalizar o estudo, procedeu-se à recolha de dados através da realização de entrevistas standardized open-ended a nove investigadores da área da Didática de diferentes gerações da Universidade de Aveiro e à sua posterior análise de conteúdo categorial, através do recurso ao software webQDA.
