From the understanding of borders, not as a dividing line, but as the epicenter of a mixed territory which develops its own culture, in opposition to the repressive authority of States, this dissertation reflects on the relationship between Body, Space and Territory in a condition of forced invisibility, that, starting from a case study that focuses on a border area of very porous consistency and spatialities of variable geometry - the Raia Transmontana, addresses the intermittent flows between Portugal and Spain, after the outbreak of the Civil War Spanish (1936-1939), proving the existence of deep bonds of solidarity between the populations on both sides of the border, who share the same cultural identity. With the knowledge of ways of life and occupation of the territory specific to Trás-os-Montes and Galicia as a backup, we set out to identify Places and paths of Memory that allow us to rescue the Historical Memory of this borderline region and its people.
