Resumo: An open question regarding the contribution of therapist and client variables for the quality of the therapeutic alliance, and for therapeutic efficacy, is the relative value of similarities and differences between them. One of these variables is personality, particularly that which concerns "epistemic world-views." This study was designed with the main objective of testing whether similarities of world-views between therapist and client make a positive contribution to the quality of the therapeutic alliance. 34 therapist/client dyads were tested. Some of the results seem to confirm the hypothesis. Some limitations and future research are stressed. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17575/rpsicol.v15i2.501
