Resumo: | The main goal of this project is to solve certain types of limitations that occur on multi-site VoIP call processing systems that work with relational databases. That limitations are related with the replication method used to carry information from the database located on one site to the database located on the geographically distant opposite site.The adopted work methodology consisted on a first phase of analysis regarding well known database managemet systems, followed by an evaluation of the relevance of a technology migration. Next phase involved the creation of a new replication architecture based on a plugin installed on the existing databases, and subsequent changes that appeared to be mandatory.Using this new mechanism, we can anticipate the benefit that actual production systems may get from this update that completely solves the service limitations that exist in certain scenarios. In the future, other components from the same product could benefit from a similar solution as well, to help face identical problems. |
