Resumo: It is frequently reported that schizophrenic patients have poor insight into their illness. Previous research has suggested that poor insight has a neuropsychological aetiology and it may be predictive of the patient's compliance with treatment plans and long-term outcome. The authors present the portuguese adaptation of two scales for inisght assessment: SMUD and ITAQ.
