Resumo: Urban agriculture has been awakening a growing interest from scholars, policy makers and society in general, and it is expanding through the world. It is a result of spontaneous practices in cities but also of public policies, which need to be informed about its socioterritorial context. In this work, we identify and classify the urban agriculture areas in the central area of the city of Porto and we analyses its territorial patterns. In addition, we explore and discuss some criteria for the selection of urban agriculture expansion areas.
