This paper deals with how the concepts of inhabited space and practiced space are articulated in Paul Ricoeur's and Michel Certeau's thought. The purpose is to answer the following question: in what sense are the inhabited space and the practiced space part of the narrative's fabric? Possibilities of new readings of contemporary society's thinkers appear from the "here and now" of the inhabited space by human events. Inhabited space, as the place of the practiced space, requires -through the time lived by each person- a reading from the practiced actions. It is stated that the human action that is practiced is comprehended by the narrative structure. In conclusion, this paper will argue that narrative is the structure that provides the conditions for understanding the practiced actions as referring to the narrated time and the practiced space, mainly in the context that the city acquires due to the changes arising from the cyberspace and globalization.
