Suzano S.A. is the number one pulp producer in the world, achieving this position after the merger with Fibria, which wasone of the greatest Brazilian players in the pulp industry.This transaction has created uncertainty regarding the future of company’s performance, resulting in the boostof pulp capacity production, butalsothe increase of its debt level. Moreover, this“traditional” industry (pulp and paper)is facing a transition period from anun favorable outlook to a recovery period, which contributed to this uncertain scenario. Despite the internal and external factors, Suzano is expected to manage all those concerns,abdicating its expansion plans and benefitting from the industry recovery. Those balanced factors and strategies will lead to a hold recommendation, based on anexpected total return of -7.72%.
