The impact of technology in the strategic planning and implementation in companies: A systematic literature review

Nowadays, companies face the constant challenge of reinventing themselves to compete in a world that is constantly changing. Technology stands out as an ally of companies in this change, especially in the improvement of their strategic processes, namely strategic planning, and implementation. The literature reveals a lack of empirical evidence demonstrating how technology contributes to and transforms the strategic planning and implementation practices of contemporary firms. To obtain a greater understanding of how technology facilitates and improves strategic planning and implementation processes within companies, a systematic review was conducted with the support of the Scopus database, through information extracted between 2018 and 2023. This study presents the main technologies used, highlighting their impact on the various dimensions of organizational strategy, and identifying the clusters associated with a successful technological implementation.
