Resumo: In Europe the decision makers in the healthcare field are formally integrating the Health Technology Assessment (HTA) into certain political, governance, reimbursement or regulatory processes. This has raised the issue of undertaking efforts to intensify the HTA cooperation in the European Union (EU). The EUnetHTA project arose from the recognition that an effective HTA coordination and sustainable structure in Europe were necessary to allow the development and implementation of practical tools that provide reliable, timely, transparent and transferable HTA information between EU Member States. We publish below an overview of EUnetHTA constitution, objectives, developed tools and the next steps.

We publish below an overview of EUnetHTA constitution, objectives, developed tools and the next steps.Atualmente, os decisores da área da saúde na Europa estão a integrar formalmente a avaliação das tecnologias de saúde (ATS) em determinados processos políticos, governativos, de financiamento ou regulamentares, o que tem levantado a questão do empreendimento de esforços no sentido de intensificar a colaboração da União Europeia (UE) no contexto da ATS. O projeto EunetHTA surgiu da compreensão de que era necessária, na Europa, uma estrutura de coordenação de ATS efetiva e sustentável, que desenvolvesse e implementasse ferramentas práticas para prestar informação de confiança, atempada, transparente e transferível de ATS entre os Estados-membros da UE.
