Resumo: | Health literacy is, today, despite all the progress already made, a field of research with many gaps to study. Health literacy constitutes a pillar that defines the balance of a society in different quadrants, particularly linked to citizen health and that, effectively, has an undeniable impact on the economic reality of any country. Moreover, despite improvements made by practitioners of medicine and other responsible entities for the quality of life management of agents throughout society, which has allowed the obvious increase of average life expectancy, it is currently observed the incidence growth of chronic diseases, namely cancer. Considering the evidences that show that a large part of the world population has inadequate knowledge on health literacy, which implies several consequences in health indexes, in a period that technologies are rising, it is notorious the need to use these strategies to enhance the empowerment of caregivers in pediatric oncology to manage their own health. It is considered the need to use these tools to ensure that the child owns the maximum potential to conquer the battle against cancer and to be integrated on survival period, and to enable the child to enjoy a duly adequate quality of life, regarding all difficulties that must be faced. This dissertation intends to contribute for the development of a mobile application for caregivers in pediatric oncology that is integrated on HOPE Project, an initiative that also includes a videogame for children diagnosed with cancer. It is intended to research and observe the informational needs that occur in caregivers that face this huge adversity and to produce information that answers to these difficulties, in order to ensure that this project will positively contribute for an adequate and sustainable health ecosystem, both for the child and the caregivers. The establishment of a set of qualitative methods will then be incorporated in a case study that previses direct communication with a group of stakeholders that includes two caregivers, a nurse and a social educator that accompanies caregivers through oncologic process so that, in addition to provide the informational needs assessment that occurred in the phase of accompanying the child, also enables the collection of suggestions and feedback about the contents that were produced for this mobile application |
