Resumo: This paper deals with the international transmission of real expenditure shocks. A two-country intertemporal model of flexible exchange rates is used to identify four transmission channels. They show how an expenditure jump at home or abroad in a particular period affects contemporaneous as well as past and future income levels in both countries.
