The topics covered in GDPR, demand the use of tools to achieve a level of full compliance and integrity with the Regulation. This study considered three projects as case studies that integrate the Institute for Research and Innovation in Health (i3S): Project 1 The effects of dog training methods on pet dog welfare and dog-owner bond, Project 2 Perinatal mortality in laboratory rodents and Project 3 Expert stakeholder views on genome editing. The objective is follow strategies for the projects and for the institution itself pretended not only to make the projects more efficient, but also to improve the workflows and information flows and with that obtain advantages within the scope of the tasks performed by researchers. Posteriorly, it was performed the planning and evaluation related with the risks of the projects. The objective was to understand the risk circuit, tangible and intangible, which could introduce threats and impacts in pursuit of the objectives of the researches, examining and planning what tools could represent a set of solutions and improvements. Based on the analysis, it was evaluated the tools that would solve and monitor the risks. The development of the project was aimed at implementing tools that projected benefits for the Research Data Management interconnected with the RDPR referring to the projects in question. To sum up, this dissertation aimed to benefit the projects being studied through the adoption of appropriate measures to comply with the GDPR and convenient to the policies of RDM resulting in advantages for the visibility of these projects. For science and through an innovative methodology, a schematic representation of processes was created to compile the tasks in this context, which could be adopted by other researchers.
