A gravidez é um período de dúvidas e incertezas, levando à procura de diversa informação. A internet assume um papel fundamental como forma de obter conhecimento e ajuda no processo de tomada de decisão. Contudo, nem toda a informação é fidedigna, sendo necessário um adequado nível de literacia em saúde. O projeto teve como objetivo descrever a utilização da internet como fonte de informação na gravidez, através da aplicação de um questionário e escala eHEALS à população-alvo de grávidas e questionário à população-alvo de enfermeiros do Serviço de Obstetrícia e Ginecologia do Hospital do Espirito Santo de Évora, Entidade Publica Empresarial. Verificou-se que as mulheres recorrem à internet para estarem mais informadas e confiam na informação disponibilizada, influenciando as suas tomadas de decisão. A página web do Serviço de Obstetrícia e Ginecologia trouxe benefícios para as grávidas e população em geral, com a disponibilização de informação fidedigna e válida, bem como para os enfermeiros, constituindo-se numa ferramenta útil de promoção e educação para a saúde; ABSTRACT: The use of the internet as a source of information on pregnancy and postpartum period. Pregnancy is a period of doubt and uncertainty, leading to demand for diverse information. The internet plays a key role as a way to obtain knowledge and help in the decision-making process. However, not all information is reliable, requiring an appropri-ate level of health literacy. The project aimed to describe the use of the internet as a source of information on pregnancy, through the application of a questionnaire and eHEALS range to the target population of pregnant and questionnaire to the target population of nurses in Obstetrics and Gynecology service of the Hospital of the Holy Spirit of Évora, Publishes Business Entity. It was found that women use the internet to be more informed and rely on the information provided, influencing their decisions. The Service of obstetrics and Gynecology has brought benefits to pregnant women and population in General, with the provision of reliable and valid information, as well as for nurses and is a useful tool of promotion and education for health.
