Percecionando ritos de consagração e de reconsagração numa área habitacional do Crasto de Palheiros (Murça) na Idade do Ferro

Starting from the archaeological and archaeographic data, we'll put forward an interpretation of a consecration rite and of a possible re-consecration of the settlement of Crasto de Palheiros (Iron Age). We'll focus on the foundational rite of the housing area of the Eastern Exterior Embankment (around the 6th/5th century BC) and on its recurrent re-consecration until the end of the settlement, at the turn of the Era. Taking both as depositional acts, we will proceed with their integration in the history of the settlement and in the worldview of the respective Iron Age community, especially regarding socio-political relations with other communities/villages and with the surrounding territory through which information and ideas would be exchanged sometimes coming from far away. Foundational and/or consecration acts and those of re-consecration of the housing area of the Outer Embankment seem to weave a network related to traditions, genealogy, territory and aesthetic currents, central to the socio-political maintenance of this community.
