Resumo: This dissertation focuses on the development of a project of modular and prefabricated constructions, with the possibility of evolving - from a studio to a three-bedroom house - through different spaces compositions. They are intended for temporary accommodation implemented in the portuguese countryside. The idea comes from the client's intention to invest in the country's rural tourism and to create retreats in contact with nature. The project seeks to address the programmatic requirements identified at the outset: the challenge of building under controlled costs; the hypothesis of the module's evolution; the correct urbanistic occupation in the different phases of evolution; and the construction's adaptability to be implemented in different sites. The aim is to document the entire project process, from the first meeting with the client until the presentation of the final solution. This record is followed by graphic elements - from sketches to technical drawings - and annotations reporting the interactions with the client and the construction companies. Throughout this process, questions and themes about prefabrication and modularity arised and were studied simultaneously through bibliographic research and the analysis of architectural projects, which became a complement to the project proposal. This work is supported on a general-to-specific approach, structured in two parts: the "Context and concepts associated with modular and prefabricated construction" whose content addresses general and theoretical themes; and "From an intention to project: real process and references", that includes a theoretical-practical content, whose main focus is the project and its references that contributed directly to the materialization of the architectural proposal. Developing this project provided the opportunity to work in a real context and put into practice the knowledge acquired along the academic path. It is intended to share this experience marked by hesitating moments, which are naturally part of a creative process, and by decisive moments taken together with the client and the construction companies.
