This studio has a limited number of resources, the main ones being space and budget. The conservation-restoration interventions are performed with surrounding pressures such as small timeframes and limited access to investigation tools and equipment. Besides, the man- agement of cultural values attributed to multiple paintings, by multiple types of private own- ers, may be challenging. Here, a categorization is made of the types of clients, which cultural values are most at play and how these are managed in conservation-restoration interventions. An analysis is then done on said interventions' methodologies, and their performance while facing the identified limitations and obstacles. When working in such an environment, one adapts and uses other methods to restore a painting successfully and ethically. These methods involve heuristic mental models, a more personal communication approach between client and conservator and creativity in solving problems.O objetivo deste relatório é expor o trabalho realizado e os conhecimentos adquiridos durante o estágio curricular, no atelier privado de conservação-restauro de pinturas, proprie- dade do Professor Doutor José Mendes em Lisboa, Portugal. Este atelier possui um número limitado de recursos, sendo os principais o espaço e verbas disponíveis. As intervenções de conservação e restauro são realizadas em circunstân- cias nem sempre fáceis face a prazos de entrega reduzidos, limitações e acesso estrito a ferra- mentas e equipamentos de investigação. Além disso, a gestão de valores culturais atribuídos às pinturas por diversos tipos de proprietários privados pode ser um desafio. Aqui, propõe-se uma categorização dos tipos de cliente. São também considerados quais os valores culturais presentes e como são geridos nas intervenções de conservação e restauro. Nessas intervenções, faz-se uma análise sobre as metodologias utilizadas e como es- tas são realizadas perante as limitações existentes. Ao trabalhar neste tipo de ambiente, é necessário uma adaptação e utilização de outros métodos para intervir diretamente sobre uma pintura com sucesso e de forma ética.
