Resumo: The diagnosis of breast cancer has a significant psychological impact on women, their emotional and social well-being, their body image and quality of life. The most often Nursing diagnoses are: compromised coping, anxiety, altered psychological state, fatigue. Mindfulness is presented as an intervention strategy that can be an option in our decision of clinical practice. Objectives: Identify a problem of nursing practice, analyse the research produced; find the best empirical evidence for clinical practice; realize the effectiveness of mindfulness programs applied to clients diagnosed with breast cancer. Results: MBSR(BC) (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (Breast Cancer)) can be applied to breast cancer survivour clients.. The clinical efficacy of MBSR(BC) is well known throughout the literature. For the clients, the insertion in the MBSR(BC), is meant to improve the quality of life, with control of the adverse effects to the treatments of the oncological disease. Conclusion: The importance of the use of complementary therapies in the control of adverse effects to cancer treatments is well known. There are improvements in the control of psychological, physical and cognitive effects. The results provide evidence of the clinical efficacy of MBSR(BC). Greater control of psycho-emotional symptoms occurred during MBSR(BC) is notorious. The literature describes that the cost per life year adjusted for quality of life is relatively low compared to the cost-utility results of other symptom control interventions for clients diagnosed with breast cancer.

The literature describes that the cost per life year adjusted for quality of life is relatively low compared to the cost-utility results of other symptom control interventions for clients diagnosed with breast cancer.O diagnóstico de cancro da mama tem um impacto significativo na mulher: a nível psicológico, no seu bem-estar emocional e social, na sua imagem corporal e na qualidade de vida. News Journal (january-june); 36-40Onco.News; N.º 36 (2018): Revista Onco.News (janeiro-junho); 36-402183-69141646-7868reponame:Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal (Repositórios Cientìficos)instname:Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (UMIC) - FCT - Sociedade da Informaçãoinstacron:RCAAPporhttps://onco.news/index.php/journal/article/view/76https://onco.news/index.php/journal/article/view/76/92Direitos de Autor (c) 2018 Maria José Dias, Cláudia Gomes, Sónia Machadoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessJosé Dias, MariaGomes, CláudiaMachado, Sónia2024-03-16T07:55:16Zoai:oai.onco.news:article/76Portal AgregadorONGhttps://www.rcaap.pt/oai/openaireopendoar:71602024-03-20T04:01:21.005415Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal (Repositórios Cientìficos) - Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (UMIC) - FCT - Sociedade da Informaçãofalse
