Resumo: | In the epistemological discussions about Information Science (CI) its possible to verify that it has been configured in the field, the development of an evolutionary perspective related to the concepts of multidisciplinarity, interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity. This finding considers that several of the interdisciplinary aspects of Information Science result, evolutionarily, from a dynamic of fusion of different disciplines, that allows to recover the definition that arose during the Conferences of the Georgia Institute of Technology, of 1961-1962, retouched by Harold Borko in an article from 1968, which considers CI as an "interdisciplinary science that studies the properties and behavior of information, the forces that govern its flow and the means of processing it to optimize its accessibility and use." Several researches have reinforced this understanding and contributed to consolidate the interdisciplinary aspect of this Science, to which are added the studies developed at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, especially those that use the imaginary as an object on which a hermeneutics is applied in order to understand the informational behaviors of the subjects. Consolidating this interdisciplinary perspective, this article intends to present the results of efforts made to solidify the information-imaginary binomial that culminated in the creation of the Information and Imaginary Studies Bureau (GEDII, according to the acronym in Portuguese) and to highlight the interdisciplinary characteristic resulting from the interlacing of Psychology and Anthropology with CI, not only at the level of collaboration, but aiming to consolidate it as a unit of knowledge in a transdisciplinary perspective. |
