Key findings are compared with past studies comprising the evolution of the market from the 1960’s to the 1990’s in order to assess the validity of two expected trends: evolution in a convergent path (homogenization hypothesis) and dominance of American companies (Americanization hypothesis). The conclusions from this study contradict the homogenization hypothesis, characterizing Europe as a continent of diversity. While the Americanization hypothesis seems plausible, European consultancies remain relevant players.
