Resumo: In this article we focus the life and work of Ana Vicente, deceased in April de 2015. Besides referring to her vast literary production we also mention the battles in which this exceptional being –who was designated by the President of the Republic as "a woman of arms" -was involved with so much commitment, such as the defense of the rights of women and the international movement "We are Church". Along the text, attempts are made to demonstrate how, by her personal and religious way of life, the unique figure of Ana Vicente acted as convocation for all those who heard her and "a prophecy in action".
