Resumo: | The present dissertation, recommended by EDP-Distribuição has as main objectives the study of a double High Voltage (HV - 60 kV) overhead electric powerline, the performance of a Benchmarking about conductor cables and the study of the use of Aluminium-Conductor Composite Core (ACCC) conductors in the uprating of HV overhead electric powerlines and them economic and environmental benefits, comparing with the conventional solution, which is the use of Aluminium-Conductor Steel-Reinforced (ACSR) conductors. The double 60kV overhead powerline that is being studied, links the substation of the National Electric Network (NER) of Vila Pouca de Aguiar to the substation (SE) of Soutelo I, also located in Vila Pouca de Aguiar (Vila Real county) and for this overhead powerline, is also studied not only the mechanical calculation, but also the electrical calculation. Benchmarking is about conductors that can be used by EDP-Distribuição. In this analysis, several types of conductors are compared, with respect to their characteristics, such as rated currents, losses by Joule effect, electrical resistances, among others. Having the need of increasing the transport capacity of electric energy, in the study of uprating of the HV electric powerline of Vila Pouca de Aguiar - Soutelo I, is analyzed an alternative solution, which consists in the substitution of the type of conductors normally used in High Voltage powerlines in Portugal, by high temperature conductors of ACCC type. The conventional solution would be to construct a parallel powerline to the existing one, using the same type of aluminum-steel conductor cables - ACSR. The environmental and economic impacts of both solutions, are also analyzed, providing information of the nature of those impacts mentioned and drawing conclusions for their mitigation and for making decisions about the best solution to choose. |
