Resumo: | The residential real estate industry is lacking behind technological innovation. Brokers need to adapt to dynamic, technology-centered environments. Innovation and retraining are firms’ best chances of survival. This thesis addresses the European market’s attractiveness and analyzes the industry’s most important technological trends. Internet of Things(IoT)has a high potential for energy optimization in residential real estate. Through Smart Houses, IoT can efficiently use the overall building-related energy, reducing costs and approaching government set sustainable goals. Through conducted surveys, the adoption of IoT features in households shows an increase in the past five years with continuous expected growth. |
