Resumo: Industry is constantly evolving and, as a result of this evolution, the number of products manufactured has increased exponentially, leading to a great competitiveness between companies. This competitiveness, created the need to make the manufacturing process more efficient and sustainable, for this it is necessary to capture the data from the machines and study them, in order to identify possible improvements in products and the manufacturing process. These requirements can be achieved through the implementation of a Digital Twin, since it allows mirroring the physical device and through that, allows the factory engineers to use and analyse the resources, allowing them to understand, monitor, calculate and test the behaviours of the physical devices in a virtual system, in a more efficient and economic way for the industry. This dissertation aims to present an infrastructure that supports a fast and efficient implementation of a Digital Twin solution, focusing on the data acquisition and storage process. The main goal is to create an efficient system capable of supporting a Digital Twin, with high processing capacity and data storage.

The main goal is to create an efficient system capable of supporting a Digital Twin, with high processing capacity and data storage.
