Resumo: This paper presents an overview of the most common networks used in Home Systems, Power Line and CATV (Collective Antenna Television). The main characteristics and rules for communicating in these networks are shown here. The development of a CATV modem is described. This modem will be used to perform the link between the flats and the manager of information of the building.
