O Estágio Profissional sob o olhar de uma Estudante Estagiária: desafios, receios e conquistas"

Resumo: This document was prepared within the scope of the school placement subject inserted in the 2nd year Cycle in Teaching Physical Education in Primary and Secondary Education of the Faculty of Sports of the University of Porto. This materializes the challenges, fears and achievements of a preservice teacher (the author), resorting to a reflective discourse that aims to elucidate the readers about the experienced path. The school placement took place in the academic year 2018/2019, in a secondary school in Vila Nova de Gaia. The preservice teacher followed, throughout the school year, a shift of the 12th grade, and had other teaching experiences in a class of elementary school. The report results from the introspection about the preservice teacher performance during her school placement, highlighting the transformations that occurred in terms of the teaching-learning process, namely in the way of planning, teaching and interacting with students. In the course of the process the author learned to make decisions before, during and after the teaching that allowed her to improve the quality of teaching provided to the students and, consequently, their learning. Also noteworthy is the research study around the concept of Active School, specifically in the dimension of Physical Education, which, in addition to other aspects, showed a gap between the discourse of Physical Education teachers and their practices. In addition, this paper discusses the decisions, difficulties and emotions experienced that contributed to the construction of a professional identity, that of Physical Education teacher.
