The present Internship Report was prepared within the framework of the Professional Internship curriculum, included into the study plan of Second Cycle in Physical Education Teaching, in the Basic and Secondary Education, of The Faculty of Sport, of University of Porto, entitled "The Quality of the Teacher of Physical Education as Essence in the Promotion of Active and Healthy Citizens: An account. ".This report does not follow a traineeship with supervised pedagogical practice and therefore does not correspond to the traditional structure of a report of this level of education. It seeks to be a reflection based on action, narrated in the first person, about my professional experience and about a theme relevant to my professional development and scientifically grounded in current authors.This document is organized in seven chapters: 1) Introduction with the relevance and scope of the report; 2) Biographical context; 3) Framing and realization of professional practice; 4) The school in the municipality of Esposende; 5) Study of growth, performance and risk factors in students of the 5th and 6th years of schooling at Apulia's Elementary School, whose main objective is to describe and understand the changes that occurred from October to May, in the variables of growth, physical fitness and metabolic risk in both sexes; 6) Final considerations and future perspectives; 7) Bibliographic references.
