Resumo: | The following dissertation seeks to analyse what may constitute the new post-digital trend of representation in architecture. To understand this phenomenon, the method of study intends to answer the question that led to its emergence: what justifies/ explains that the presence of these images has multiplied in recent years? In order to frame this question, we face the post-digital as a reaction to technology, confronting its limits and which occurs within a broader theoretical picture. As an expression of visual culture, the post-digital is directly linked to a type of representation that follows a specific social and technical context, that was interpreted as a form of architectural cultural production. Reaching the conclusion that the post-digital allows for a return or re-enactment of the drawing, by the way it rejects the real. It stages an excess of the presence of the image, which depends as much on the use of the digital as it does on the dominion of the mental instrumentation of the drawing. The visual content of these images may tomorrow be different as a result of the cyclic changes of visual culture, but the post-digital as the reaction that was at the origin of these images, will continue to exist inside post-modern culture. |
