Resumo: | This dissertation consists of a traditional metric survey, applied to a 20th century single family house, located in Santa Marinha do Zêzere, Baião. We seek to develop an investigation around the traditional construction system, through the different phases of the survey process: from sketches to detailed drawings. Research and theoretical analysis arise in parallel, and accompany the research process. This theme has specific problems that were the object of investigation and that are intrinsic to the development of this study, namely, the theme of popular architecture in Portugal, the traditional constructive system of the bourgeois house and the concepts related to the intervention in the heritage. As a result of this survey process, we seek to create a program that aims to maintain the building, that promotes its durability and minimizes the natural aging of materials, avoiding its gradual degradation and the need for new resources in a plan of maintenance operations to be carried out, short and medium term. Through this work, a database for a possible long-term intervention is also left open. Finally, such an opportunity also allows for an awareness and development of a critical stance as an architect, facing the future challenge of intervening in a pre-existence. |
