Resumo: Due to the dynamics of the glass packaging market, Verallia competes with large international players as well as small domestic competitors. When looking at the transaction history of the top five players since 2005, one can analyse that, especially in Europe, there has been a strong consolidation within the industry, as reflected by c. 71% of the market being covered by respective players. Therefore, since organic market share gains are for the above stated reason rather not feasible, the following report analyses the strategic rationales and potential impact of the acquisition of a mid-market company by Verallia.
