Resumo: The urban history of the city of Porto is within the concerns of many of those who are interested in it, however, and because it is still a territory with immense routes to explore, we are faced with a total lapse of the existence of a work that only adds the study area of the Muralha Fernandina do Porto. For this, this work translates into an attempt to be its historical curriculum, reminiscent of a forgotten facet of the city of Porto, integrating its evolution with the theme of the Muralha porutense. The Historical Center has for itself, for its inhabitants and those who visit it, the historical heritage, the heritage that must be protected against neglect and forgetfulness, translated into a process of preservation in order to be transmitted to future generations, as testimony of the past. For the conservation of a wall there is not only a single method, but a way to apply the methodology that best suits each case, with the ultimate objective of valuing and preserving in the most appropriate way, allowing a brief reading of this historical monument. The objective of this work is to understand and analyze the entire process of urban construction within and outside the walls and aims to identify and characterize the different phases or moments of its development that, respecting the chronological sequence of events, correspond to the period between the 14th and 21st centuries. The exhibition of the content of the work is carried out through the image with the systematic support of the text, thus functioning as the extended caption of the images that are presented. In most cases, an accurate knowledge of the historical heritage is not coincident with the historical knowledge of the observer, and for this it will be necessary to rearrange the most relevant and representative manifests of the different urban currents that have made history in order to reach the conclusion of certain possibilities of relationship between two urban realities.
