Understanding the uniqueness of urban mobility for each city and time can lead to better decision-making to make it more efficient and effective possible. Innovation and creation of technological tools have provided researchers with the opportunity to study, get better insights on mobility and develop more sustainable cities. By using terminals’ location and traffic data, this study will focus on studying how mobility behaves during event days and trying to turn Lisbon closer to be a smart city. Acknowledging that events move a great amount of people, by the development of dashboards, this study strives to get useful mobility patterns that can help Lisbon to be better prepared to receive events. Design Science Research Process Model was followed to understand the best way of organizing and structuring this study and to address the objective the best way possible. The data used had to be thoroughly studied, treated and modeled so that it could make visuals full of pertinent content and answer the research questions. The development of dashboards made it plausible to conclude some important points. Rainy days on event days will lead to more traffic congestion on parishes that receive events. Working days with events will lead to a higher density of people in Lisbon central zones and more traffic congestion during the end of the day. Scholar holidays will affect mobility, showing that student’s mobility has an impact on Lisbon’s mobility patterns. Therefore, days with events will influence mobility and traffic in Lisbon.Neto, Miguel de Castro Simões FerreiraJardim, João Bruno Morais de SousaRUNEmpis, Duarte Maria Bonnet Marques Patrício2024-03-25T16:27:17Z2024-02-072024-02-07T00:00:00Zinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisapplication/pdfhttp://hdl.handle.net/10362/165397TID:203553624enginfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal (Repositórios Cientìficos)instname:Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (UMIC) - FCT - Sociedade da Informaçãoinstacron:RCAAP2024-05-22T18:19:55Zoai:run.unl.pt:10362/165397Portal AgregadorONGhttps://www.rcaap.pt/oai/openairemluisa.alvim@gmail.comopendoar:71602024-05-22T18:19:55Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal (Repositórios Cientìficos) - Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (UMIC) - FCT - Sociedade da Informaçãofalse
