A presente dissertação cogita sobre a razão de ser da própria norma legal como aborda outras questões, nomeadamente a origem da sua consagração legal, sua ratio, sua interpretação, etc. A reflexão deste trabalho é sinónima de uma complexa investigação que compreende fundamentos doutrinais e jurisprudenciais. Julgo que esta exposição clarificará incertezas que encobrem a norma legal visto que se trata de um preceito legal sensível que (indiretamente) visa regular relações familiares (sucessórias). Creio, ainda, que esta análise nos permitirá compreender o artigo 877.º CCiv assim como perceber se este preceito se encontra em sintonia com a atualidade e com as necessidades sociais do dia de hoje ou se, ao invés, necessita de uma relativa ou absoluta atualização.O âmago desta obra é o artigo 877.º do Código Civil Português (Proibição de Venda entre Pais ou Avós e Filhos ou Netos).
